Cousin Eddie still doesn’t like pants but he does like running errands. Who knew?
Saturdays in Autumn are for Craft Fairing. This past Saturday was the mother lode of CF days. We had multiples and one of those was at St. Katharine Drexel Shrine. I had never been to the Shrine and neither had the Roomie so we thought this was a win/win. The Campus is closing in January and the body of St. Katharine is being moved to somewhere in Philadelphia from the Bensalem, PA campus. St. Katharine lived here for many years before her death and it was the Mother House for her order.
The Chapel is magnificent. It reminded me a lot of the churches in Britain. It kind of made me feel like I was back home again.
St. Katharine was an amazing woman who grew up wealthy and gave it all up to take care of her fellow human beings. Her focus was to enable the Native American and African-American women and children a chance at a better life through education and endowment. She founded colleges and schools and helped to provide medical help when needed to the poorest among us. She used the money left to her by her parents ($15 million) to fuel her endeavors.
It made me sad that this beautiful campus has been sold. Luckily her vision is still being upheld by her Order. We were just glad we got to see all of this and to kneel and pray to her before she is moved. Well the Roomie did that while I took selfies in the chapel.
I personally like the Park CF’s. I get to play in the forest!!
It’s raining now but we wanted to get out for perhaps the last of the Leafy pictures for this Autumn Season.
Elmer was feeling right at home in the forest. We are glad we don’t live in the Urban Center where trees are few.
The Miser Brothers were debating who was in control of the weather now. They always argue about that. Today was 46 degrees so Freezie was gloating.
Carol, Hattie and Jonathan love these little adventures too. You know Jonathan is all about picture-taking. It is life.
Saturdays in the Fall are all about Craft Fairs. That magical place where you go to find homemade items for yourself or your home.
At least this is what the Roomie says.
It was fun. The Roomie only got some homemade treats for the puppies but we did get to see Santa Claus, so that was cool.
Oh and some little kid wanted to take Heat Miser home. Said she loved him…we all don’t understand that because he’s the grumpiest of us all, lol.
We are all very excited it’s finally our time of year! Halloween is on the countdown with 6 days to go and then, Hector showed up!
The temps keep fighting summer. Today it finally got cool again. This back and forth is driving the Roomie crazy. She likes it cold, lol. We were just thrilled to be outside today.
Everyone wanted their pictures taken, just look at those smile 🙂
It was really good time. We are all looking forward to some more outdoor adventures. The trees should be turning a little bit brighter soon. This part of Autumn goes by so quickly.
Hector has easily made a home here with us. He’s a funny and bony dude! Until our next adventure…Halloweenies signing out!
Elliott has only played Mall Madness but this time he actually went to the Mall, lol.
Shoe sale…He picked up some nice loafers. Since he stands a lot loafers are the way to go.
He was there to welcome the new Funkos. Personally I think we need more new Trolls and less new Funkos for obvious reason, lol. I’ve expressed this to Mick and The Roomie. Trolls Rule!!!
p.s. No signs of Robin Sparkles or Tiffany…sadness.
The Arboretum is The Roomie’s favorite place. It’s peaceful and still fun.
Elliot, always the jokester, couldn’t stop touching this cherub’s butt.
He said Jonathan started it by taking pictures of the cherub. After that Elliott said it was all downhill, lol.
The Roomie just shook her head. Funkos will be Funkos.
