Barry Wishes everyone a Wonderful Independence Day….
I like this historic house a lot. It was built-in 1728 by the Keith Family.
The property was a huge asset during the Revolutionary War for both Washington’s and Howe’s Forces. The Patriots used this property during the local battles. When the British took over the area with their victories against the Americans after the Battle of Brandywine. They set up encampment here using the farms resources.
It was a hot and steamy afternoon but well worth the trip. Stop by if you are ever in the Horsham area!
I know that art in itself is subject to what the person viewing it feels and thinks about it.
I’m kind of art snobish I think. I like my art to be Monet, Van Gogh or even Dali, I tend to understand their works but I’m not sure what to get from this snot producing skeleton?
Do I like it? I’m not sure but it is different. What do you all think?
We traveled over to Millville, New Jersey to visit a place called Wheaton Village.
It was a hot day but all of these trees made it palatable.
They make pottery and blow their own glass. It was very hot in the kiln but pretty awesome to watch. (p.s. This sculpture looks nothing like me!)
Okay this one might look a little like me 🙂
It was an informative trip and a lovely day to just sashay about the compound. You should totally check it out if you live near New Jersey. The month of July is free admission!
