I like fortune cookies. The fortunes themselves are nice but I love the cookie itself.
I’m cool like that!
YoStich and I had a wonderful lightsaber duel. It was fun. No one really fences anymore. Twenty-First Century fencing is the best!
It was so warm outside (In the 60’s) that I was able to have my coffee on the back deck. Just lovely.
The Roomie bought these wonderfully juicy oranges. So yummy!
It was a good day.
It’s been bitter cold with the Polar Vortex that blew into town and the Country.
Yesterday was 3 degrees (-9 Windchill) and today is better 12 degrees (9 Windchill). It’s a relative heatwave, lol.
Cold weather is okay but this is kind of super cold and I don’t like that, lol.
On the opposite side of this crazy weather story. Next week will be in the 50’s and 60’s. Climate change is real people!
No matter what the weather I still have to go to work. TGIF people, TGIF!
This weekend we all went to the Mercer Museum and Henry Chapman Mercer’s home Fontill Castle.
So much history in two amazing locations.
The Museum itself houses thousands of items that represent the trades of the by-gone era. The Tanner’s tools, Coaches/Toll Roads and they even have a Gallows on the top floor in the Crime and Punishment exhibit.
Fonthill Castle was the home built and designed by Henry Mercer for himself. It showcases his tile and stone collections from round the world. There are many oddities and tiles that depict stories like those of Charles Dickens and the travels of Columbus.
His home at the time was a Castle but with Modern conveniences like central heating, bell systems and electricity.
A really neat please to explore.
