The Flowers are popping up all around town. We wanted to see some Dog Woods and the Cherry Tree Festival is this weekend!
A good day for all!
The weather has been fierce as of late. We could just hibernate or we could roam the woods. We chose the woods!
Homie has spent most of his life as a garden Gnome so when he came to live with us he’s done nothing but explore any place he can. He is also very photogenic, don’t you think? The buds of spring are popping out all over the trees. He thought it was so beautiful!
Chipper has spent his life exploring. No jealousy among these gnomes though. Homie loves listening to his adventure stories!
Ingrid just loves being a troll. The fresh air and woods take her back to her childhood in Norway 🙂
And Elsa…dear Ellie…she just has fun where ever she lands! We hope you enjoyed your day too!
The Weather has been awful lately. It’s snowing, raining, foggy and just unpleasant.
They are calling for snow again this weekend. The one saving grace is it has been very warm so the snow will be pretty and just mildly annoying 🙂
To amuse ourselves we’ve been ShapChatting everyone, lol. Ingrid looks hysterical as a clown. I’m guessing that’s the way it is supposed to be since clowns are funny. Well, unless you are the Roomie then clowns are terrifying, HA HA HA.
I’ve repeatedly told the Roomie that I do not like to travel this way (especially since my nose fell off) but she insists on it.
While in Cleveland we went too the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was fun and loud, lol. Being from the tranquil forests of Norway it was an eye opener for Ingrid and Me.
So much history in one place. We had so much fun. Elvis and anything 50’s early 60’s are my favorite but Ingrid is all about Queen.
The view from the 3rd level was amazing. It was an overcast/rainy day but Lake Erie looks awesome in the distance! To lean all about the celebrities, the Bands and the era’s of music from Carl Perkins to Beyonce was super cool.
Bjorn has now visited 19 of the 50 States in the USA. He’s working hard to make it all 50. This trip was to Ohio. Specifically the Cleveland area of Ohio. We started off with a trip to ‘A Christmas Story House’.
It was a lot of fun! The house was staged just like the movie…right down to the Lifeboy Soap in the bathroom!
Bjorn was running around the house with the Red Ryder BB gun. It was funny. I kept telling him to be careful not to ‘shoot his eye out’.
It was an awesome trip. Bjorn told the Roomie to give it 5 circles on Trip Advisor!
It’s not a regular time when a bunch of the Maelstrom’s are in town for a group vacation. This year we lucked out.
A Family Portrait at the Beach (Boone, Ingrid, Bjorn, Arvid and Nils).
The weather was perfect and the water was refreshing. Being Nordic we tend to like the weather colder but even the heat of the summer could dampen our fun.
Nils was all over the place. This was his first trip to a beach ever. He doesn’t speak much English but he was having a blast!
We are a fun bunch that much is true about the Maelstroms!!
Ingrid did a lot of sightseeing on her own. She loves all the tourist things like Museums and such. Here she is at the Cape May Firehouse Museum.
She also made it to the Aviation Museum. She said we missed a great time. You can get in the vehicles and play with the equipment. I definitely need to visit this one! I love touching stuff!
