It Was A Dark And Stormy Day…Again

The Roomie is super focused on the weather.  She usually is but it’s been raining inches at a time recently.

Even with the worry she has about flooding and stuff like flooding she still grilled hamburgers and hot dogs last night for dinner.  Mind you it was pouring at the time.

The Moana gang isn’t letting the rain bum them out too much.  We might have limited adventures available but we are still playing in the rain.  Nothing to get us down during the Summer of Moana!

Summer of Moana: The One with Chocolate Milk

So we went to a local Farm for their most excellent chocolate milk.

They have Cows, Franklin the Pig and other barnyard animals.  We wished they were out in the fields and less in pens 😦

It was nice and sunny and low humidity.  A not to bad summer day 🙂

The Summer of Moana: 102 Degrees and Humid :(

It’s super hot hear on the East Coast.  Luckily we have a friend with a pool 🙂

Bjorn was enjoying a good swim 🙂

Ta Fiti was looking super green and Heaty is in his element.  He’s been pumping out the heat and humid a little too much!

Sunscreen Everyone!!!

Poolside is a nice way to spend the Summer of Moana!

The Summer of Moana: A Night At The Symphony

It was at a local Historical site (Hope Lodge) the Ambler Symphony put on a spectacular concert!

The theme of the concert was music by John Williams.  This just happens to be one of The Roomie’s favorite composers.  Yes, we rocked it out to the music from Star Wars too!

The Summer of M&S – The Summer Reading List

We have this little sort of Book Club with The Roomie.   Mostly she reads to us and we comment on what she’s reading.  Right now she is reading”Nightshift” by the master of horror literature, Mr. Stephen King.

She says she can only read this book during daylight hours.  I totally get that!  This book is a collection of short stories written by Stephen King over the years and published as a book.  It reminded us all of his other collection “Different Seasons”

The Roomie’s night time book is Philip Roth’s “The Plot Against America”.

I’m pretty sure this story is just as scary as Night Shift!

She also informed us that her vacation read this year is also a Stephen King thriller…IT!  So no sleeping during holiday either, lol.
