I love the beach but do not get to visit it often.
It’s fabulous here under the umbrella.
Being a woodland creature for the most part I’ve found the beach life to be very nice indeed. The Ocean was perfect and I had plenty of shade under this umbrella!
Being an Irish Fairy Phinn didn’t take off his coat. He didn’t want to get sunburned.
This was another successful vacation at the Jersey shore for the lot of us. Good times, food, family and fun!
We’ll see you Wildwood Crest in 2014!
Tanta and I went to the beach this weekend and she decided she wanted to go for a dip in the ocean.
Apparently in her home land nudity is okay.
I tried to tell her this was a family place and nudity was frowned upon but she didn’t seem to care.
She is one wild Dane!
I love her because so many things make her smile. It’s almost contagious.
Look I’m smiling too. You just can’t tell this is my smiley face. Check out Tanta’s hand trying to swipe my shell.
All was cool though…she found her own…really big shell!
Chardonnay seems to be enjoying her foray into becoming a living piece of art. I asked her if this was her ‘Performance Art’. She responded…”Yeah, sure why not”. Followed by laughter. She’s an odd duck be we love her anyway!
We have become “besties” since she moved in. She doesn’t care I’m dead and green and I don’t care she’s always drunk. We are cool like that!
The girls took me to see Wicked yesterday and let me tell you I LOVED it!!!
It was awesome to see the Heroine was Green…Like me 🙂
The music was amazing. We listened to the soundtrack in the car on the way to the theater but there is something to be said for the live action of the musical.
I had so much fun and was still cheering on Elphaba at the end! I totally love her!!! Do you think she would marry me?
Grrrrrrr! Yeah I’m still not scared. But don’t I look scared? That’s because I’m an ACTOR! Just one of my many mad skills!
We traveled over to Millville, New Jersey to visit a place called Wheaton Village.
It was a hot day but all of these trees made it palatable.
They make pottery and blow their own glass. It was very hot in the kiln but pretty awesome to watch. (p.s. This sculpture looks nothing like me!)
Okay this one might look a little like me 🙂
It was an informative trip and a lovely day to just sashay about the compound. You should totally check it out if you live near New Jersey. The month of July is free admission!
We were in Lancaster with the Roomies and they took us to this really cool Christmas Store open all year.
Who doesn’t love a good German Santa Claus?
I always loved Christmas time in Germany. Back in my day it wasn’t quite what is celebrated today but it was still the one hopeful day a year 🙂
Bjorn couldn’t come this trip because he was at the pool with the ladies so I took a picture of Norway’s Christmas for him. I’m not sure they celebrated Christmas on the Fjords. I’ll have to ask him next time I see him.
“And I would like another Franken Doll and…wait are you sleeping?” Santa needs to wake up and hear my list!
Hey Bob Cratchett and Tiny Tim Hey!!!
We had a lot of fun. I’d do that tour again it was really cool. Well except the Biblical portion that freaked out the Roomie…she’s such a wimp! I told her…Man Up Yo!
We went to Strasburg to see the trains. I wasn’t sure about this trip at first but I learned that I do have such a connection with trains I never before realized. Maybe it’s the age thing or the fact I took my first long distance trip on a train.
They even had some funerary there which made me feel completely at home.
Shelly loves trains, as we all know, but I don’t think he was quite ready for Thomas!
Thomas was looking just a little scary when he pulled up to the station.
The train yards were his favorite. We had a blast! The Choo Choo Barn had full replica of the town in miniature model trains. We had to pull Shelly away from this venue because he would have lived there forever 🙂 Good times had by all…especially Shelly!
On Saturday the Roomie, her MIL and Bean took us to Longwood Gardens.
The flowers were exquisite.
I had a great time hanging out with Shamy too. They are more fun than they look.
Look they almost held hands under the Wisteria Tree.
The gardens are on 1077 acres of land once owned by Pierre DuPont who was a great champion of Horticultural causes.
He began Longwood Gardens with the purchase of Pierce Woods that was originally slated for demolition but he purchased the land and it’s trees to conserve the vast collection of trees planted by the Pierce family.
So many beautiful flowers and plants. The orchids are a prized collection. So if you are in town for a visit…they’d love to see you there!
The Roomie took us to a new place this weekend. It’s called Dutch Wonderland. I guess Amish World was taken already, Ba dum dum!
I was pretty stoked because everyone knows how much I like amusements!
This house reminds me of a house in Germany where this old hag lady lived. Well she lived there until those nasty kids moved in next door and tried to eat her house!
Ha Ha I’m standing not sitting! Always the Rebel am I, ARGGGGH!
Check me out on the horse-drawn carriage! I could be almost Amish. They speak Dutch and I speak German we are practically twins!
Dutch Wonderland isn’t just a place for Kids it’s also a great place for the unDead crowd too! It was a really fun time!
