We’ve had very heavy rains the last 3 days. I went down to the Creek to see what it looked like.
It’s muddy and the water is very high on the banks.
It was beautiful in its own way. I’m just glad we don’t live near a body of water.
A Nor’Easter came to Our Town yesterday. Her name was Stella and she was messy and heavy. She made snow not fun 😦
Buddy and the Roomie were ecstatic that our new Neighbor snow blew our front walkway. Thumbs up from the big guy!
Shelly and Lenny were a little bummed that the snow was so wet and heavy that sledding was a bummer. They tried to build a snowman but it was like rolling the snow through quick-drying cement :(**
Stella could have been worse. We ended up with about 4″ with drifted snow which turned to ice when as the day got colder. This morning we woke up to 19 degrees with real-feel temps of 9 degrees. This with Spring just days away. Weird, right?
Yesterday it was 63 degrees in Our Town. Today…it’s snowing.
Buddy had the Roomie stop the car so he could get a selfie with the geese. There were hundreds of them. They are the black dots in the background.
They say there is a Nor’Easter coming our way on Tuesday. Yesterday I wanted to put my shorts on and boom I’ve got to find my winter coat.
To occupy our time we played some Scrabble and SnapChat. Lame I know but at least it’s Friday 🙂
We had a Nor’Easter come through our part of the globe yesterday. It could have been a lot worse than the 5.5″ we received. Niko was very blustery and annoying but his punch was a little on the weak side…thank goodness.
We had fun playing in the snow but it was back to business. Today it was still super cold outside but tomorrow they are calling for high 47’s. YAY!
Winter Storm Mars blew through our neighborhood. It snowed a long time (over 24 hours) but amounted to very little.
It started out with some big snowflakes. Bantley wasn’t having much of this snow business. He prefers the comfort of a warm mug of grog and a toasty fire.
By this morning though the snow had gathered on the grassy areas and the trees. It reminded Jeff the Clone of Narnia. Very pretty.
Jimmy just wanted to have an Irish Coffee and call it a day but Eddie reminded him it was their turn to clean off the automobile. Jimmy then went and made snow angels while Eddie and Jeff the Clone cleaned off the car. Stupid drunken poet!
Mars was anything but out of this world. We all gave it a 1 on the Snowmageddon Meter.
So in our neighborhood we got 22.4″ of snow from Jonas. I still think it’s stupid they name the storms. Now nobody will want a friend named Jonas because that a-hole dropped 2-3′ of snow on the east coast!
I think that Homie needs a smaller shovel. It do give him props for giving it a try though 😉
I was Bjorn of the mountain. Really there were mountains of snow everywhere after the plows came through. Crazy stuff this Nor’easter business.
We decided to have some fun sliding down the hill. It would be sledding if someone remembered to bring the sled. I’m not pointing fingers but you’ll recognize him from his thumbs up…BUDDY!
Homie says he enjoys snow so much more now than when he was a garden gnome/elf. He’s a big fan of keeping dry and being warm. We all survived and the next storm to come our way has been changed to a passing rain shower so no more shoveling for a bit. YAY!!!
I’ve been having a blast recently with all of the outside fun.
It was a little rainy and overcast for most of the day but I just couldn’t let it get in the way of my good day.
Peak Leaf/Color season has passed but there are still some good colors on the trees. We took to the Arboretum today.
It wasn’t too bad. I’m going to miss all of the color once Winter descends upon us but at least I have my memories to keep me feeling good! Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow!
Early this morning we were all awoken by the sound of a torrential downpour of rain. It was still dark and very miserable outside. All a part of Spring.
This afternoon Mick and I went down the Crick to see what it looked like all swollen.
Yes it is weird to say Crick when it is a Creek but when in Roman…yada, yada, yada.
It finally stopped raining and the “CRICK” looked kind of cool. It also made me glad that I gave up living in the Forest. It’s wet and mossy here.
The trees are starting to bloom which is a good sign that Shady Days are coming closer and closer.
The Roomie loves the rain. Probably because she’s never had to live outside after a rain. It’s damp. ‘Nuff said!
