Thank goodness we got a little break from the heatwave. Today’s highs are in the upper 70’s and it’s raining. The Roomie is thrilled with the rain for her garden.
We went from stinking hot to absolutely perfect in the matter of one day. We got out at lunchtime to have a bit of sun 🙂
Claire and Miranda were having a blast. The Roomie was happy to be able to be outside without setting her RA on fire!
Such a nice day. The heat is supposed to return in time for the long weekend so we will enjoy this as long as we can!
Be kind to each other today!
It’s been very rainy, windy and very cold as of late. The lows are more like early March than mid May.
My allergies are off the charts right now. Between the spring Pollen and the Mold spores because of all of the rain.
The sun is predicted to make an appearance on Friday. Yeah!
The Roomie loves the cold weather but the rest of us are ready for a little warmer temps but not too warm, lol.
It was a very busy weekend. I hope all the Mom’s out there enjoyed their day! Brava!
The Roomie had a funeral on Saturday and needed 30 minutes to decompress before her next activity on this very active weekend. I love that she loves the Morris Arboretum. The sun came out for a few hours so this was the best time to visit. The brook was babbling, the early spring flowers were flowering and the fish were swimming. Who else would we spend this time with but Mother Nature 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day Mother.
We spent some time with Cady at her house. It was fun. She has all kinds of stuff to use as backgrounds for pictures…
I got to hang from a Fork all McGuyver Style!
They have this killer lamp. The Roomie loves things like this lantern. I think it reminds her of The Guiding Light 🙂
I have Antlers…HA HA HA!
She also has this really comfy chair. It’s a little far from the TV but wicked comfy 🙂
We went to Mom’s for dinner and it was delicious. Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
The evening ended on a very sad note. Our beloved 76ers lost in the playoffs. It’s been a great season and we look forward to what next season brings.
Winter Storm Quiana dropped about 3″ on our part of town.
It was really pretty and a feathery type of snow. Easy to shovel.
We watched The Roomies shovel. We didn’t help…just watched, lol.
When you are only 2″ tall the 3″ of snow can be a little dice. Eddie said he was too cold for this fracking stuff.
The only one really prepared for the snow was RBG. It’s because she’s super brilliant.
Well Winter Storm Petra blew into town this week. The Roomies got out early from work. They said it would have been cooler if were an actual snow day, lol.
We got about 3″ before it turned to freezing rain and then rain.
The Roomie was leaving for the day and then realized she forgot something. She turned around and took this photo. We all got a laugh.
We all survived and contrary to popular belief…no one had french toast, HA HA HA!
