A Nor’Easter came to Our Town yesterday. Her name was Stella and she was messy and heavy. She made snow not fun 😦
Buddy and the Roomie were ecstatic that our new Neighbor snow blew our front walkway. Thumbs up from the big guy!
Shelly and Lenny were a little bummed that the snow was so wet and heavy that sledding was a bummer. They tried to build a snowman but it was like rolling the snow through quick-drying cement :(**
Stella could have been worse. We ended up with about 4″ with drifted snow which turned to ice when as the day got colder. This morning we woke up to 19 degrees with real-feel temps of 9 degrees. This with Spring just days away. Weird, right?
We had a Nor’Easter come through our part of the globe yesterday. It could have been a lot worse than the 5.5″ we received. Niko was very blustery and annoying but his punch was a little on the weak side…thank goodness.
We had fun playing in the snow but it was back to business. Today it was still super cold outside but tomorrow they are calling for high 47’s. YAY!
So in our neighborhood we got 22.4″ of snow from Jonas. I still think it’s stupid they name the storms. Now nobody will want a friend named Jonas because that a-hole dropped 2-3′ of snow on the east coast!
I think that Homie needs a smaller shovel. It do give him props for giving it a try though 😉
I was Bjorn of the mountain. Really there were mountains of snow everywhere after the plows came through. Crazy stuff this Nor’easter business.
We decided to have some fun sliding down the hill. It would be sledding if someone remembered to bring the sled. I’m not pointing fingers but you’ll recognize him from his thumbs up…BUDDY!
Homie says he enjoys snow so much more now than when he was a garden gnome/elf. He’s a big fan of keeping dry and being warm. We all survived and the next storm to come our way has been changed to a passing rain shower so no more shoveling for a bit. YAY!!!
I was chatting with Linus about the weather because that’s all anyone is talking about and he informed me that he’s going to become a Weather Icon.
He told me that he could totally point at a weather map and say cleaver things like….”We’ve found Nemo” and then point to the storm on the map.
Which led me to go on a diatribe about the fact it’s kind of dumb to give storms names. Is this to make them seem more friendly? Anyone who has survived Katrina, Andrew or Sandy can tell you that they aren’t friendly….they are meanies! And if Nemo dumps 3 ft. of snow on New England they will not have the warm and fuzzies about Nemo either!
Apparently I need to eat a snickers bar because I’m becoming grumpy. Sorry…continue with your regularly schedule programming. Out!
It just keeps snowing in our part of the world. What is with that? We are living in the Mid-Atlantic States and it’s only supposed to snow moderately. It just seems since I moved here in 2004 it seems the winters are more like my homeland of Norway than Mid-Atlantic States marginal snow days. It’s all good though. I’ve been itching to go for a nice cross country ski romp.
The first part of the snow was bigger than expected. The weather guys got this totally wrong. I know shocking right? I’ve decided that I could be the weather troll on the street and maybe Chris could be the weather fairy on the go. We couldn’t do a worse job.
The Roomie was all about taking pictures yesterday. Hi Mr. Plow!!!!
We had to go to work so all of the playing weather peoples had to come to an end :(***
