The Summer of Moana: Life is Busy

We’ve been a busy crew with Graduations, Weddings, hanging out with friends and a bevy of other things.

In case you missed it…It’s the Summer of Moana!

We’ve even had a trip to hospital.  That’s no way to begin the summer.  Neither is all the rain we’ve had so far this season.  We all agree that its way better than a drought!

Edna was stoked to jump into summer too.  The Roomie said she’s pretty sure this is Edna’s only facial expression, lol.

Chipper On The Move

I got tired of just sitting around.  I am, after all, a Gnomad.  That’s just a club I belong too.  We are traveling Gnomes.  That dude that was kidnapped by those College Students and then became popular for his post cards kind of made what we do lame but it hasn’t stopped us from traveling.  I’m not expecting a product endorsement from my travels like that “Travelocity” Gnome.  I do it for fun…just like Bjorn!

Bjorn talked to the Roomie about giving me my own page.  I’m thrilled to be one of those folks that shows others the world.  Even if that world seems bland.  It’s not bland its beautiful. You just have to find the beauty.

I’m a sports fan.  I love nature and reading.  It’s amazing to discover…well anything.

I love being a friend to all!  Please feel free to check out my page to see what I’m up too 🙂  I will be stopping by Bjorn’s main page too.  Enjoy every moment.  Look around…your adventure is right in front of you 🙂

A Walk In The Woods

Yesterday the temps were in the 60’s.  Weird for January but after that last polar vortex (Yes, I know this sounds pretentious) it was nice to go outside without bundling up.  I loath it when my face hurts.

The day was rather gray but who cares when you don’t even have to wear a coat.  I got to do some painting and some thinking.

Looking down the empty road made me think of that Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Gosh I love that poem.

Vinny Digs Art

Vinny is a bit of an artist in some circles.

img_2362-375x500

He’s a fan of the blues, the yellows and the oranges.

img_2363-375x500

He’s a fan of his own face, lol.

img_2366-375x500

He’s a fan of other people’s faces too…

img_2368-375x500

Not withstanding…he also has a sense of humor too.

Vinny hopes you all enjoy art.  Whether in book, canvas or photography there is so much beauty to enjoy.  Take some time to enjoy the view.

Today’s Weather Forcast…Snow

Yes it snowed again in Our Town.  These snows have been kind of hazardous for driving.  It is better when the snow has stopped when it’s time to drive to work.  There’s that knowing that the commute home won’t be quite so treacherous.

That was not the case today.  The Roomie went to work and got out early with both times the driving not such fun times.

We all arrived home and Sheldon and I got to spend some time playing in the snow.  All in all not a bad snow day 🙂

Elves Weekend!

IMG_2309 (300x400)

This weekend we headed out to the Fall Arts Festival in a nearby village.  It was quite the scene.

IMG_2310 (300x400)

Thad was getting a little stir crazy since he’s been on the mend so I thought it was a good idea to get outside.

IMG_2250 (400x300)

I’ve lived most of my life amongst the Gnomes even though I’m an elf so hanging out with Thad this weekend was pretty cool.  He’s a former Santa Helper (retired) so usually he’s too busy in the fall to do stuff and was loving every minute of the Fall Festival!

It’s been unusually warm of late but I hear that might change.

Even with the heat it’s a wonderful time of a year!  Another Autumn adventure for the books!
