It is rainy today but the Roomie could care less about it!
We all had fun. The Roomie’s shoes got soaked but we all had a good laugh about it!
Yesterday we went our little park. It’s where we like to go for a little break from the day.
It’s been warm these past few days. It’s really nice even though it’s supposed to be winter. It’s always nice to get a small break from those arctic temperatures.
This particular park is a fan of bird watchers around town. They even have an elevated deck with benches. There are hawks, cardinals, blue jays and robins. So much beauty to behold among the browns and blacks of winter.
It’s a lot of fun. Some would think it boring but not us. Happy January!
We went outside. I’m not sure why because it was 85 degrees. It’s been more like July than October recently.
Johnny and Elliott got to spend some time in the Cornfield. It was much like visiting work on your day off.
Brody and Melvin are enjoying October and the Farm even if it is like summer.
Elmer wanted to know where the maze and cider were? It wasn’t that kind of farm today. Maybe this weekend!
Hey Brody…pull my finger…HA HA HA!
Don’t you just feel bad for me right now?
The trees are starting to turn. We are all excited that Fall begins on Friday!!! We love October…you know because we are all Halloweenish. It’s going to be so much fun. The Roomie said we can start Halloween decorating in October!
We can’t wait! Especially Melvin!
Yesterday the temps were in the 60’s. Weird for January but after that last polar vortex (Yes, I know this sounds pretentious) it was nice to go outside without bundling up. I loath it when my face hurts.
The day was rather gray but who cares when you don’t even have to wear a coat. I got to do some painting and some thinking.
Looking down the empty road made me think of that Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken.
Gosh I love that poem.
So we have a new friend in the group. His name is Mr. Nigel Murray and he is an English Troll.
He is fitting in very nicely at the house even though he is naked all of the time. Hey, it’s how he rolls in the forest.
Bantley took him to Morris Arboretum. It’s a local place we all like to go for some fresh air and natural beauty.
These two get along really well. Bantley gets along with most people and creatures. He doesn’t smile much but he’s always in good spirits 🙂
It’s almost Milkweed Pod Explosion season. You know what that means? Millions of wishes will be flying around just waiting to be made. It’s the Roomie’s favorite time of year! Mr. Nigel Murray seem skeptical but Bantley assured him after that first wish it’s addicting!
Until our next adventure!
Early this morning we were all awoken by the sound of a torrential downpour of rain. It was still dark and very miserable outside. All a part of Spring.
This afternoon Mick and I went down the Crick to see what it looked like all swollen.
Yes it is weird to say Crick when it is a Creek but when in Roman…yada, yada, yada.
It finally stopped raining and the “CRICK” looked kind of cool. It also made me glad that I gave up living in the Forest. It’s wet and mossy here.
The trees are starting to bloom which is a good sign that Shady Days are coming closer and closer.
The Roomie loves the rain. Probably because she’s never had to live outside after a rain. It’s damp. ‘Nuff said!
