Vacation in New Jersey – Out To Breakfast & Alpacas

It is tradition to go to The Larkin for breakfast the first day.  We leave home super early to drive down so we don’t hit major traffic.  Everyone says, “What do you do with the hours you have to wait before check in?”

We go to breakfast and then to see the Alpacas.

The Roomie loves, loves, loves the Alpacas.

Pooping Alpacas…ha ha ha!

It was a fun day!

The Summer of Barry – Vacation

The Roomie took us to the Beach again this year for Vacation.  Fun had by all…especially me!

I was all over the Jersey Shore.  From Wildwood Crest to Cape May to Ocean City.  I was getting it done!

I saw the Sunken Ship at Sunset Beach, Cape May.

I saw the World War II Watch Tower as well.  What a view!

I went Shopping at the Washington Street Mall.

Stopped by Winterwood for some Christmas Cheer!

Watched Totality of the Solar Eclipse on TV because Jersey didn’t experience Totality.

But what we did have was pretty spectacular any way.

I watched the Sunset at Sunset Lake in Wildwood Crest.

And I spent the day at the bay with my friends.

The Beach…oh the beach…I heart you most of all.  What a vacation it was!

Summer of Barry – A Movie Under The Stars

Our local community hosts these Outdoor Movie Nights at various venues/parks around the area.  Last night we watched Raiders of the Lost Ark at Hope Lodge.  It was a perfect night.  Popcorn was tasty, movie was a classic and the temperature was in the low 70’s.  The stars were shining over head too.

Jenny enjoyed it too.  She’s been wanting to do this for some time now but being a Super Hero is very time-consuming and exhausting.  It was a nice break for her.  So far, the Summer of Barry has been excellent!

Barry Visits Graeme Park/Keith House

I like this historic house a lot.  It was built-in 1728 by the Keith Family.

The property was a huge asset during the Revolutionary War for both Washington’s and Howe’s Forces.  The Patriots used this property during the local battles.  When the British took over the area with their victories against the Americans after the Battle of Brandywine.  They set up encampment here using the farms resources.

It was a hot and steamy afternoon but well worth the trip.  Stop by if you are ever in the Horsham area!

Air Victory Museum

The Roomie heard about the Air Victory Museum last summer but this is the first chance we’ve had to see it.

The Summer of Barry continues with this museum.  They had a piece of the 911 site and an exhibit to the tragedy of 911.  It is a part of American History now.  It brought up sorrow but it was an important exhibit.

There were many planes.  Model Planes and some helicopters.

Buddy is a history lover from way, way back.  There were exhibits for Amelia Earhart and the Hindenberg Disaster.

Barry was thinking how cool it would be to fly one of these jets.  Fast and Furious….mach 3 style!

When we left we headed over to Mt. Holly, NJ for some lunch.  Jimmy and Eddie found the food amazing and the beer even more amazing, lol!
