Our local community hosts these Outdoor Movie Nights at various venues/parks around the area. Last night we watched Raiders of the Lost Ark at Hope Lodge. It was a perfect night. Popcorn was tasty, movie was a classic and the temperature was in the low 70’s. The stars were shining over head too.
Jenny enjoyed it too. She’s been wanting to do this for some time now but being a Super Hero is very time-consuming and exhausting. It was a nice break for her. So far, the Summer of Barry has been excellent!
I like this historic house a lot. It was built-in 1728 by the Keith Family.
The property was a huge asset during the Revolutionary War for both Washington’s and Howe’s Forces. The Patriots used this property during the local battles. When the British took over the area with their victories against the Americans after the Battle of Brandywine. They set up encampment here using the farms resources.
It was a hot and steamy afternoon but well worth the trip. Stop by if you are ever in the Horsham area!
The Roomie heard about the Air Victory Museum last summer but this is the first chance we’ve had to see it.
The Summer of Barry continues with this museum. They had a piece of the 911 site and an exhibit to the tragedy of 911. It is a part of American History now. It brought up sorrow but it was an important exhibit.
There were many planes. Model Planes and some helicopters.
Buddy is a history lover from way, way back. There were exhibits for Amelia Earhart and the Hindenberg Disaster.
Barry was thinking how cool it would be to fly one of these jets. Fast and Furious….mach 3 style!
When we left we headed over to Mt. Holly, NJ for some lunch. Jimmy and Eddie found the food amazing and the beer even more amazing, lol!
Even though we are home we keep looking at the pictures. It was that much fun. Well minus the Seaweed Attack…and hurricane (that didn’t happen).
Eddie and Jimmy walked all along the beach getting inspiration for their next writing project. Jimmy was all “Can I Kelp You?”, he’s really not that funny.
The gang went to the book store because the weather folks were droning on about a possible low-level hurricane named Hermine. Mr. Nigel Murray thought it was named that because it was Harry Potter Weekend on Freeform. Apparently it’s the French pronunciation. Um…right.
Jimmy was only looking for how many copies of his books were in stock. Eddie he was looking to blow this Popsicle stand and head to the Tappy.
Later both decided to enjoy the view before the hurricane hit. Or in this case didn’t hit but they didn’t know that at the time.
So Buddy was a little confused when he went to the beach and the footprints were already in the sand.
I’m sure he secretly knew who’s footprints these belong to but he was keeping his peace. Buddy gave it a BIG thumbs up!
So we have a new friend in the group. His name is Mr. Nigel Murray and he is an English Troll.
He is fitting in very nicely at the house even though he is naked all of the time. Hey, it’s how he rolls in the forest.
Bantley took him to Morris Arboretum. It’s a local place we all like to go for some fresh air and natural beauty.
These two get along really well. Bantley gets along with most people and creatures. He doesn’t smile much but he’s always in good spirits 🙂
It’s almost Milkweed Pod Explosion season. You know what that means? Millions of wishes will be flying around just waiting to be made. It’s the Roomie’s favorite time of year! Mr. Nigel Murray seem skeptical but Bantley assured him after that first wish it’s addicting!
Until our next adventure!
Bones is loving watching Bones but he feels he’s more Bonie than Temperance. HA HA HA…Bones is funny.
It’s so sad that the summer is coming to a close and we haven’t had any time to do anything. No adventures 😦 Hopefully soon we can hit the beach and get a tan. In the meantime Buddy is king of the Selfies!
So Bantley went on his first Vacation ever and he seemed to like it. Here he is smiling.
The beach was lovely and he got to hang out with his friends.
He even went sightseeing.
It was a great time. He was making friends everywhere he went. There was this lovely Frenchman who thought he was a celebrity but found out that Bantley was just a fun loving Troll with a penchant to having his photo taken.
He is one handsome Troll. Sure not as good looking as me but then again…who is? I’m Bjorn Maelstrom and I’m hysterical! Wait till you see what Homie was up to on vacation.
It was a rainy day but we went to see the ocean while we were in town.
It was a good weekend rain or no rain. Can’t wait to come back very soon because the beach is amazing!
Chris and Chardonnay went to Peddler’s Village this weekend and had a fantastic time!
This was a neat Scarecrow. We love the Phanatic!
The weather was picture perfect. Cool and sunny and we were surrounded by flowers!
Dave is Chris’ favorite Minion!
I almost fell off the fence I was sitting on…hence my expression!
Lahaska is a beautiful area in Pennsylvania. Autumn weather is beginning to take hold here and I couldn’t be happier!
Teddy couldn’t come with us this trip so Chardonnay and I stopped into his favorite German Store and got him a little treat from the homeland.
It was a perfect day!
