SPRING – The Bird Watching

The Roomie loves to bird watch in April because of the migration factor.  We like to get outside.  It’s Win-Win!

It was a wonderful cloudy day.  It’s still cold outside but we all feel like the warmer days are coming soon!

A Little Taste of Spring

What a wonderful weekend!  Warm (upper 50’s) and without any snow or rain to drag down the warmth!

Home, Me and China went to the Arboretum for some “almost” spring fun.  It was 58 degrees but windy so it felt colder but since the three of us are used to cold temps it didn’t faze us at all.  The Roomies looked a little chilly though, lol.

There still plenty of snow laying about but we made the best of it.  It’s melting pretty quickly.  Just another sign that spring isn’t too far a way 🙂

There were plenty of places that had no snow.  China is getting her Buddha Chant on here.  I don’t think she knew I was taking her picture even though she looks like she’s posing for the camera.  She really meditating.  China’s deep like that!

We even got in some rock climbing.  Homie is an old guy but he’s still got it!

I thought China being made of glass would shy away from the rock climbing but she was the first one to the top of the cave.  You go girl!

It was a great weekend with friends!

Curling and Rain

Curling is awesome.  The Gold Medal round didn’t disappoint.  The Canadians were on top form.

That’s Kaitlyn getting ready to make the magic happen!

Sweden put up a good fight but it came down to one mistake that let the Canadians in the door.

We were having nothing but snow every week and then today came with its 58 degree temperatures and the moisture wasn’t snow this time…it was rain.  Lots and lots of rain.

The big talk is if it will make all the snow go away…just in time for the snow that is supposed to arrive next week once our mini heat wave ends 😦  Spring is taunting us!  Not Nice!

His Name Was Pax

His name was Pax and he left a great swath of snow in his wake.  We had Pax the nor’easter swing through the region leaving behind 13″ of snow followed by sleet, rain and then an additional 4″ of snow.  I’m not a fan of snow like Homie.  I’m more a 40 degree or high kind of elf.

Hey I will make snow angels and play snow fort with the best of them but there comes a time in the winter months one just looks towards spring, lol.  I’m one of those Elves!

So if you are loving Pax I apologize for cramping your style 😉
