A Visit To Legoland

We took the child to Legoland this weekend.  No not The Roomie, although I understand the confusion.  The actual child, lol.

This place was super cool.  The structures were large enough that I could live in one of them, lol.

I fell in the Lego pit by accident.  Tom Ato jumped in like it was a ball pit.  That gent is a little soft in the head.

We all had a lot of fun. Including The Roomie and the child 😉

American Treasure Tour

On Saturday, we went to American Treasure Tour for our weekend adventure.  Such a neat place.

There was a giant shoe.  How often does one see a 3 story shoe?

So very much fun!

The Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle

This weekend we all went to the Mercer Museum and Henry Chapman Mercer’s home Fontill Castle.

So much history in two amazing locations.

The Museum itself houses thousands of items that represent the trades of the by-gone era.  The Tanner’s tools, Coaches/Toll Roads and they even have a Gallows on the top floor in the Crime and Punishment exhibit.

Fonthill Castle was the home built and designed by Henry Mercer for himself.  It showcases his tile and stone collections from round the world.  There are many oddities and tiles that depict stories like those of Charles Dickens and the travels of Columbus.

His home at the time was a Castle but with Modern conveniences like central heating, bell systems and electricity.

A really neat please to explore.

It’s Art

I was a busy Gnome yesterday.  First we hit the Art Museum.

Some of my distant cousins.  The Belschnikel and Norwegian Santa.

My favorite was the Rotunda.  So many wonderful local artist showing their talents.

Afterward we hit up the Grocery Store for some tasty vittles before the Eagles Game.  The Birds beat the Bears 16 – 15.  It was a heartbreak lost in the final moments for the Bears but now the Eagles move on to the Saints next weekend.  Fly Eagles Fly!

The Summer of Moana – Weekend Adventure Part II

Lunch was good on the Creek.  We kind of felt like we were on Dawson’s Creek, lol.

We went to the High Tide for some tasty morsels.

We split The Godfather steak sandwich with the Roomie.  Even better she got onion rings as a substitution!

So good.  You should go there and have a tasty treat too!

It Was A Mostly Sunny Day :)

After so much bad weather we all wanted to get out of the house for a bit!  We decided to check out the local park.

We got to see the local Emus and Alpacas.  Love those guys!

It was really nice to take this adventure with my cousin Elsa!
