Our local community hosts these Outdoor Movie Nights at various venues/parks around the area. Last night we watched Raiders of the Lost Ark at Hope Lodge. It was a perfect night. Popcorn was tasty, movie was a classic and the temperature was in the low 70’s. The stars were shining over head too.
Jenny enjoyed it too. She’s been wanting to do this for some time now but being a Super Hero is very time-consuming and exhausting. It was a nice break for her. So far, the Summer of Barry has been excellent!
Everyone thinks my life is wildly exciting. Yes I’m a former Storm-trooper from the future, and yes I’m a clone with mad skills. My life is not all glamour and parties though. Like yesterday, yesterday I ran errands.
So my day started with a little work. These are star charts. TJ and Tourist Dave thought they were Jackson Pollack paintings. Um…no. I tried to explain Space to them but they broke out in song and dance. I gave up.
I got in the car. The Roomie drove and we went to Target.
I targeted in on the soda we were picking up because of the awesome price.
I pointed out that perhaps it was time to fill up on petrol. I’m a former soldier we do what needs to get done.
Then back home and I read a book. So ended my ordinary day….Clone Style!
Today at lunchtime we headed over the the Arboretum for some fresh air.
The flowers were so beautiful. A little peace is a wonderful thing.
The Roomie took me to see Wicked last night. We’ll she took me and her Wife. Gosh I love the theater 🙂
The Summer of Me is pretty amazing!
She had awesome seats too! I wonder what’s next?
So we love a good episode on Shark Week. And thanks to Snap Chat we get to be sharks…Well except for Chet…he’s a Land Shark all of the time.
TJ and Tourist Dave rocking the Shark!
Discovery’s Shark Week is like Chet’s Christmas Morning!
We’ve had very heavy rains the last 3 days. I went down to the Creek to see what it looked like.
It’s muddy and the water is very high on the banks.
It was beautiful in its own way. I’m just glad we don’t live near a body of water.
We decided to do the Christmas in July theme this summer.
First we went to Byers Choice in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
It was so much fun. They served cookies and peppermint ice cream.
They had all kinds of displays, not just Christmas, although that was the theme.
Barry got to see some other former Presidents. He wonders what he will look like as a doll (lol).
On Sunday, we decided to continue the adventure of Christmas in July. We went to the National Christmas Center in Paradise, Pennsylvania (near Lancaster).
So much fun. The exhibits took me way back in time.
There were exhibits celebrating Christmas in many different Countries.
Also, Christmas Trees abound here.
I got to do some “shopping” at Woolworth’s. It was a really fun time. Christmas In July was something new for us and it was bunches of fun!
We saw this field of flowers…
It was an awesome start to the weekend!
I know it’s weird that I swim in my suit but I’m the former Prez…it’s how I roll. I get Suited up! #BarneyStinson.
Um…Me thinks it’s going to rain….
…and then it did…a lot…like 2″.
