The Summer of Barry includes a momentous High School Graduation! Yes I’m narrating this as if it’s coming from someone else, lol.
I had fun with the parents who were hootin’ and hollerin’ for their kids and their friends 🙂
The boy got his diploma and then it was our turn to hoot and holler, lol. The Roomie was yelling very loud!
The Graduation ended just before dusk. Pictures were taken and hugs exchanged.
Then I asked the aged old question plaguing Americans at night…what’s for dinner?
Congratulations to all those who are Graduating in 2017!
So I haven’t really had much time this week to do a lot. I took some snapchats with The Roomie. That was fun.
For some reason I think I look like Jerry Garcia. Weird, right?
Someone told me this week I look like this guy…I’m flattered because he’s awesome but I’m not really sure I look like the Former President of the United States. I mean we both like blue ties but that’s where it ends 😉
I miss the beach very much. I know vacation is a ways off but I hope we get to go back and see the beach before then. I’m miss the ocean. True Story.
This summer Barry is going to take some fun adventures. Well, at least that’s what he tells us, lol.
Memorial Day is a day of reverence for out fallen protectors. It is also the unofficial start to summer. Barry went to the Memorial Day Parade to pay his respects and enjoy the neighbors.
This summer Barry is going to partake in a lot of the activities I would have normally done. I’m getting older and more fragile but I’m not completely out of the picture. This is my page after all but this Norwegian is going to take it light this summer, lol.
To all those who served and protected us…THANK YOU!
A Nor’Easter came to Our Town yesterday. Her name was Stella and she was messy and heavy. She made snow not fun 😦
Buddy and the Roomie were ecstatic that our new Neighbor snow blew our front walkway. Thumbs up from the big guy!
Shelly and Lenny were a little bummed that the snow was so wet and heavy that sledding was a bummer. They tried to build a snowman but it was like rolling the snow through quick-drying cement :(**
Stella could have been worse. We ended up with about 4″ with drifted snow which turned to ice when as the day got colder. This morning we woke up to 19 degrees with real-feel temps of 9 degrees. This with Spring just days away. Weird, right?
This weekend Hope Lodge had their Charter Day Open House. This was so much fun. The Roomie takes us out to local Historical places if they are holding an event of some kind.
Mick likes to visit places beyond the Magic Kingdom. So much to see in the world. Hope Lodge gives a glimpse into the 18th Century.
Michael was in full regalia and making History come alive for the visitors with his Musket display. We learned so many interesting facts about the Revolutionary War. Combat and life wasn’t what we had expected.
It was a very cold day but so worth getting out and getting our knowledge on! Mick told the Roomie he wants to see more. Hopefully we have some cool adventures coming up.
Yesterday it was 63 degrees in Our Town. Today…it’s snowing.
Buddy had the Roomie stop the car so he could get a selfie with the geese. There were hundreds of them. They are the black dots in the background.
They say there is a Nor’Easter coming our way on Tuesday. Yesterday I wanted to put my shorts on and boom I’ve got to find my winter coat.
To occupy our time we played some Scrabble and SnapChat. Lame I know but at least it’s Friday 🙂
We had a Nor’Easter come through our part of the globe yesterday. It could have been a lot worse than the 5.5″ we received. Niko was very blustery and annoying but his punch was a little on the weak side…thank goodness.
We had fun playing in the snow but it was back to business. Today it was still super cold outside but tomorrow they are calling for high 47’s. YAY!
Today was a grey day with an orangey hue.
Vinny got to do some painting. It was grey but not rainy at the moment so he was kind of happy about that.
Melvin mostly gets out in the autumn months but he said that this winter is more like October than January.
Bern is feeling the awesomeness of a day well spent outside and at the Morris Arboretum!
