Oh Look…More Snow

We’ve had a lot of snow recently.  Bjorn and Elsa said it reminds them of Norway.  The Roomie can totally see that, lol!

RGB says the snow enhances the beauty on the farm.  So true RGB, so true!

Homie loves a good snow.  Having lived outside in a Garden most of his life he said he’s used to crazy weather.  Although, he now prefers to be inside and warm.  Patches O’Hurley just loves a good hot toddie.  That is code for a stiff hot drink, lol!

No matter what we’ve had a lot of snow this February and there is more in store for the weekend.  Yikes!

All About The Clouds

The Roomie has been into cloud watching recently.  We really aren’t sure why this is now a thing for her, lol.

Signe thinks they are neat too.  She wishes it was colder and snowy but other than that the clouds are cool.  Since Homie used to live outside in a garden in bad weather and all he’s just into looking at them and then sleeping in a nice comfy bed at night out of the elements.

Gordo’s favorite…definitely the storm clouds.  We’ve had quite a few of these lately.  Hurricane Laura brought us clouds and rain over a couple of days.  Any way you look at it, the clouds are like sky art 🙂

Enjoying A Safe 4th of July

Now that Covid-19 is ravaging the countryside we experience most of our adventures at home or around the homestead.  This Fourth of July is no different.  The Roomie BBQ’d and we hung out in our yard.

We love it out back.  It keeps The Roomies safe and we get to have fun in the sun.  This time with more bacon, lol.

No fireworks here either.  The Roomie doesn’t get why explosions are festive.  They are just basically loud.  We all hope you had a safe 4th!

Oh…Spring Is Back…

The weather this year has been as unpredictable as the year itself.  We’ve been having August like weather with muggy humid and rainy heated days.  Then we will get one or two days of seasonal Spring like weather.  Back to Summer again.

Today….today is beautiful and sunny with lower humidity.

Signe was just glad to be outside in her safe environment.

Storms and Stay At Home

Well we’ve been lifted from the Red Zone to the Yellow stone and the Shelter-in-place has been lifted as well.  Signe was not ready to give up her binge watching though, lol.

She’s a fan of true crime.  Who knew?

We had some nasty storms blow through our area last week.  Pookie Noodlin was definitely not a fan.  There were trees down all over town and power was lost for thousands 😦

Not fun.  This happened for three days in a row.  Some of the storms weren’t as bad as others but we’ve all decided that should be it for the wild storms because that was not fun!

The Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle

This weekend we all went to the Mercer Museum and Henry Chapman Mercer’s home Fontill Castle.

So much history in two amazing locations.

The Museum itself houses thousands of items that represent the trades of the by-gone era.  The Tanner’s tools, Coaches/Toll Roads and they even have a Gallows on the top floor in the Crime and Punishment exhibit.

Fonthill Castle was the home built and designed by Henry Mercer for himself.  It showcases his tile and stone collections from round the world.  There are many oddities and tiles that depict stories like those of Charles Dickens and the travels of Columbus.

His home at the time was a Castle but with Modern conveniences like central heating, bell systems and electricity.

A really neat please to explore.
