It’s been excessively cold this winter. The snow has been pretty steady too. Mikey loves the snow and the cold. Being the “undead” has its perks. You never get cold, lol.
The sunset was really pretty. The pictures do not do it justice. It made a band of pink throughout the sky once the sun set. So very pretty!
Mikey is also excited that the Eagles are playing on Sunday. We are all hoping they make it to the Super Bowl. Bjorn…he’s excited about the Olympics and watching some Curling, Go Norway!
Winter Storm Inga made its way through our part of town today.
She was a nice Swedish girl and didn’t over stay her welcome. We got about 1″ of snow and it’s fairly warm (34 degrees) so it wasn’t a mess out there. I’m pretty sure we won’t even get to sled in what Inga left behind. Oh well…maybe the next one, lol. Bjorn out!
It snowed this weekend in our town. It was beautiful and required very little shoveling, which the Roomie loved most of all, lol. I enjoyed it and I’m so rocking this Christmas hat…HO, ho, HO!!
It gives us all hope that it will be a White Christmas like Bing Crosby sings about.
Eddie likes to sing his version of White Christmas but substituting White for Pantless. Yes, he is a very odd fellow.
Wentz enjoyed the snow but didn’t enjoy tearing his ACL in yesterday’s game. Get well soon buddy!
Oh…don’t get me started on these guys. Seriously the bickering is annoying but then it snowed and Heat got all crazy. It’s winter time dude…relax and chill out. HA HA HA…see what I did there. I”m one funny Troll!
I’ve been looking at old pictures of some of my adventures. I thought I’d share some of my favorites.
The trip to South Carolina was part of our pilgrimage to Orlando, Florida. We stopped in every state on the way.
Savannah, Georgia was also part of that pilgrimage. I loved this very old city. It had southern charm and so much history. There is a raw beauty about Savannah. Sometimes it’s hard to describe. If you can, I recommend a visit to the port community. It’s known for its Art School, Spanish Moss and incredible historic homes with exquisite iron work.
Baltimore, Maryland has a beautiful Inner Harbor. So many activities to keep you busy all day. They also have many delicious venues to get food. The National Aquarium was a lot of fun too. It’s on the way to Washington, D.C. so if you are going that way check it out on the way.
This picture was taken at Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia, PA. This site was a particular favorite of The Roomie. She loves anything 1700’s which Philadelphia has in spades. She even loved that it rained that day. Lack of crowds offers more adventure time and one gets to really experience the site. I was digging the cannons…loud but very cool.
Cleveland, Ohio is the home to Rock ‘N’ Roll. They Museum offers many things. From Michael Jackson’s glove to Elvis’ motorcycle. Cleveland is also known for it’s Art Museums and our favorite…The Christmas Story House. The Roomie enjoyed Lakeside Cemetery. She’s all about Cemeteries too. She was digging the Cemeteries in Savannah too 😉
I’m not sure where my next adventure will be but I know it will be a good one.
We had a Nor’Easter come through our part of the globe yesterday. It could have been a lot worse than the 5.5″ we received. Niko was very blustery and annoying but his punch was a little on the weak side…thank goodness.
We had fun playing in the snow but it was back to business. Today it was still super cold outside but tomorrow they are calling for high 47’s. YAY!
Tomorrow marks the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America.
Barry wishes 45 Good Luck. It’s not an easy job.
The guys and gals who work in this building aren’t very nice to anyone most of the time.
Bjorn told Barry he would have run for President last year but since he’s a foreigner he can’t. He knows how Arnie Schwarzenegger feels, DISAPPOINTED.
He may not be able to be President of the USA but he is Ruler of all Norwegian Explores who are 4″ tall.
It is with sad heart that after 12 years of travel and adventure Bjorn Maelstrom is being forced to retire. This weekend saw his worst injury today.
While visiting Historic Hope Lodge to ring in the fun Christmas Season Bjorn suffered another radical amputation. If you follow his travels you know that he’s lost both hands, his tail, his nose and his hair due to many individual circumstances. This time he has lost his arm. He is running out of parts to fall off.
So for his future safety and under much protest the old boy is now shelf bound. His family and friends will keep up the travels and adventures but for the foreseeable future Bjorn will be a quiet old man in retirement 😦 This makes us all sad since he was the one who started it all. Hang in there our Norwegian friend.
Every year the Roomie reads us Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”.
It’s an old-timer kind of tradition but we humor her.
Fear got all scared because there were ghosts in the story. No matter how much we tried to assuage him it was for naught. The little dude is destined to be afraid of everything. I guess that’s why his name is Fear.
So in our neighborhood we got 22.4″ of snow from Jonas. I still think it’s stupid they name the storms. Now nobody will want a friend named Jonas because that a-hole dropped 2-3′ of snow on the east coast!
I think that Homie needs a smaller shovel. It do give him props for giving it a try though 😉
I was Bjorn of the mountain. Really there were mountains of snow everywhere after the plows came through. Crazy stuff this Nor’easter business.
We decided to have some fun sliding down the hill. It would be sledding if someone remembered to bring the sled. I’m not pointing fingers but you’ll recognize him from his thumbs up…BUDDY!
Homie says he enjoys snow so much more now than when he was a garden gnome/elf. He’s a big fan of keeping dry and being warm. We all survived and the next storm to come our way has been changed to a passing rain shower so no more shoveling for a bit. YAY!!!
